KİRMEN İPLİK is a member of the PAGMAT family, and has expanded while improving the quality of its source materials and production support. PAGMAT is an export-oriented company with investments particularly in the agriculture, food and textile sectors. In order to meet customer expectations at the highest level in both food and textiles, PAGMAT has maintained production plants in the province of Manisa, where the most fertile soils of the Aegean region are to be found. Since 1979, PAGMAT has maintained a healthy relationship with this area and aims to continue this connection in order to preserve the strength and quality of its products in the coming years. Based on this, PAGMAT has commenced production of its registered brand “KİRMEN İPLİK” in Saruhanlı, Manisa, in a spinning mill covering an area of 65,000 square meters.
The power emanating from the fertile soils of the Aegean Region is brought to life in the KİRMEN İPLİK . While the quality of fibers originate from the fertile Aegean soil, the standards of service and customer satisfaction are very much determined by KiRMEN. Having established its production range in line with customer demand and expectations, KiRMEN has the capacity to manufacture products from both 100% pure or mixed blends from Aegean, Upland, Organic, Long Fiber Organic, Better Cotton, Pima and Giza fibers. As a licensed producer since 2004, KiRMEN also produces Supima cotton yarns. Besides these raw materials, production techniques such as siro, spun thread, twisted and plied yarn are employed in order to meet customer expectations.

Our modern facilities, with the capacity to produce yarn ranging from Ne 20/1 to 120/1, are equipped with branded devices, machines and automated systems that utilize new technologies. Our two-floor plant provides services with 6 twisting machines and 1 doubling machine, with Siro, spun thread, twisted yarn and dye tube products are manufactured in line with our customers’ demands.
Cottons, yarns and all materials in the production processes are systematically tested by means of cutting-edge devices within our modern laboratories.
Aiming to enhance employee awareness of eco-friendly production, through environmentally conscious raw material, energy and production processes, KİRMEN İPLİK has achieved OEKO-TEX St.100 quality certification; the guarantee of healthy living for textile products.

Cotton is the leading product to which Aegean soils add quality. Aegean cotton is nourished by turning its face towards the wind, the rain and the sun. It blooms in spite of the wind and takes its color from nature. Aegean cotton has all the attributes expected from a quality cotton. It is known as one of the best, with its structure consisting of long fibers, high homogeneity and ligament with minimal yellowness.
The most distinctive difference of yarn made from Aegean cotton is that the produced fabric has a superior propensity for color preservation. Thanks to this remarkable attribute, all products made from this cotton are brighter and more vibrant, and as a result, less dye and energy consumption is required during production. We turn Aegean cotton into yarn, again in the Aegean region, and share the differences of this quality worldwide.

BETTER COTTON-BCI
Better Cotton Initiative is an organization aiming to eliminate negative environmental impacts of cotton production by improving the social and economic conditions of millions of farmers around the world.
Set out as a global social responsibility project, the aim is to collaborate with cotton supply chain and respective stakeholders and thus making global cotton production environmentally, socially and economically sustainable and broaden this production quality to the whole world in the long run.
Large retail brands want “better cotton” to be used in most of their products. Thus, the target is to achieve sustainable and controlled production of “white gold” cotton, which is one of the lifelines of global agriculture and provides employment for 300 million people every year in 80 different countries.
Cupro is a cellulose fiber, which has cotton made of fibers around cottonseeds. KİRMEN has its signature on each knot of Cupro, which gives warmth with every touch and is one step ahead of other fibers with its softness, brightness, and silky and skin-friendly structure.
Yarns and fabrics made of Cupro fiber have a surface softer and are smoother than cotton yarns. It also breathes like cotton by combining the positive qualities of both natural and synthetic fibers, creating a perfect surface appearance and sense of silkiness as in cellulose fibers. Thanks to their soft and smooth pattern, silky appearance and skin-friendly structure, these fabrics create added value in the production of underwear and outerwear for both men and women.
As Cupro fiber is obtained by recycling cotton waste, it promotes more efficient use of our limited natural resources. It is of considerable importance for social responsibility projects, with more efficient usage of natural resources, since a previously unused resource is now utilized, whilst also being easily degradable, eco-friendly and obtained from a renewable resource.
Supima, with its name abbreviated from ‘superior pima’, is an organization established by American pima producers. Pima Cottons are in the class of extra-long fibers grown in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Products made of Pima Cotton offer softer, brighter and more durable products to end users, thanks to their fiber properties. KİRMEN İPLİK has been a licensed producer of Supima® since 2004.
